How can you work through the pain, anger, and resentment from childhood caused by the adults in your life?
As many of you know, I had a teacher call me the boy with the broken brain. What was a comment intended to keep other kids from picking on me instead became a hurtful label that took years to overcome. Every time I couldn’t do a task or assignment; it reinforced the idea that I was broken.
This is a topic that is very personal for me. I’ve had to work through these harmful labels on a personal level before I was able to help others do the same.
Adults needs to be very careful with their external words because they often become a child’s internal words. Every time that child faces an obstacle, those words will become reinforced.
