What happens to the brain and body during menopause?

Every woman who lives long enough will eventually reach menopause. Right now, there are around 75 million women in the US who are perimenopausal, menopausal, or post-menopausal. And yet, despite millions of women experiencing similar symptoms, you may still feel lost, alone, confused, less confident, and self-conscious about this change.

I’m excited to welcome Tamsen Fadal to today’s show. Tamsen is an award-winning journalist, author, documentary filmmaker, and social media midlife mentor. She’s the creator and executive producer of the PBS documentary, The M Factor. And she’s here to talk about her new book, How to Menopause: Take Charge of Your Health, Reclaim Your Life, and Feel Even Better Than Before.

Understanding menopause isn’t just important for women. It’s also important for the people supporting that woman through this change. It’s possible to navigate this phase with strength and positivity, especially if the people around them contribute to making this journey smoother. If you or someone you love is experiencing menopause in any stage, this episode is for you.
